Girls
- Leotard (any color is fine)
- Tights (black, white, tan, or pink)
- Hair must be up and away from the face.
- Dance skirts and shorts are not required but are permitted in class.
Boys
- Shorts or pants (if taking ballet, shorts are preferred so that we can see what the knees and ankles are doing, no denim)
- T-shirt or tank top (we prefer that they are not extremely baggy to watch for proper back alignment)
Hip Hop
The only dress code for Hip Hop is absolutely no denim and what you wear must be tasteful. Any other clothing is fine.
Shoes
Ballet - Pink ballet shoes are required for all ballet class. Please make sure that they are not the “house slipper” type that you find with the dance apparel in Wal-Mart and Target. These are not ballet shoes and are very slippery.
Tap - Black tap shoes are required for all tap classes. The kind that buckle are preferred but if you get the kind that tie please take the tie out and attach elastic or you can purchase “tap shoe ties” to keep from constantly having to tie shoes during class. Although it is not required we prefer tap dancers ages 9 and up have the lace up tap shoes. These are more expensive but provide a much better sound.
Jazz - Black jazz shoes are required for all jazz classes. You can get these in lace up or slip on and either kind is fine.
Hip Hop - Jazz sneakers or tennis shoes are required for ages 9 and up. Once the recital costume is chosen we will determine what kind of shoes will be required for recital. 6-8 year olds will dance in their jazz shoes.
