Newsletters
We will have newsletters every once in awhile to communicate important information to you. These are posted on the walls outside each classroom, posted in the waiting room, and extra copies will be available in the waiting room. I can also email these newsletters. If you would like the email option please email kpuckett@kelldance.com and put “newsletters” in the subject line.

Dropping of and picking up students
Before classes all students will wait in the waiting room for their teacher or teaching assistant to get them for class. For the safety of the children, we prefer that whoever is picking your child up after class come in to the waiting room. This is also important so that you do not miss out on any important information that may be posted in the studio. No student is permitted to enter either classroom before class time. This is the time that teachers getting everything prepared for class.

Observing Classes
Each class will have an observation night where the student may bring their parent/guardian to class to watch. The first observation night is in December and the other is in May. Observing class any other time is not permitted

Recital
Recital is usually the weekend after Memorial Day. Recital tickets are $5 each and $7 if purchased at rehearsal or recital.

Attendance
Attendance is very important at KPDA but we do understand that sometimes missing class is unavoidable. If you miss your class and would like to make it up contact the studio and we will give you the day and time of a class for your child to attend to make up the missed class. There will be no make ups available in the months of April and May as all classes are preparing for recital at this time. Tuition is not adjusted for absences.

Severe Weather
You can find out if we will be closed due to severe weather by watching WKYT or WLEX after 2:00 p.m. We do not always close if the schools are as most of the time roads are fine in time for classes. We have an extra week of class included in the year that will be used as a make-up for any cancellations. In the event that classes are cancelled on any night more than one time we will schedule an additional make-up time.

Refunds
KPDA does not issue any refunds on tuition and will only issue a refund on costumes if they have not been ordered yet (Nov. 1 st). If the costumes have been ordered already and your child chooses not to continue with classes your costume will be sent to you when it comes in. The registration fee is not refundable.

Withdrawal
If you choose to withdraw from classes at KPDA, we must be notified in writing. You will continue to be billed until we receive a written notice.

Tuition
Classes begin the week of August 29, 2011 and your first tuition payment is due then, this payment does include September’s tuition. After that tuition is due the 1 st of each month. There is a tuition box located in the waiting room for you to place your payment in or you can mail your tuition to the studio mailing address. Please add a $10 late charge to any payment made after the 5 th of the month. If your child is absent or if we do not have class the week tuition is due we ask that you mail it in to avoid the late fee. Billing statements are not sent unless your account is past due and KPDA reserves the right to dismiss any student from class if an account is 60 days past due. Tuition is the same each month no matter how many weeks are in that month as it is based on how many lessons are in the year.
