Jazz Dance (Ages 6+)

This energetic and upbeat class introduces dancers to the fundamentals of jazz technique while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Students will explore a variety of jazz styles, from classic to contemporary, through warm-ups, across-the-floor exercises, and fun choreography set to age-appropriate music. The class focuses on building coordination, flexibility, strength, and rhythm in a positive and supportive environment. Perfect for young dancers who love to move and express themselves through dance!

Recital:
Dancers will perform one routine in the annual recital and will have 1 costume.

Dress Code:

  • Leotard or fitted dance top and leggings/dance shorts
  • Tan or pink convertible tights
  • Tan jazz shoes (slip on,no laces) 
  • Hair secured away from face


Beginner Acro (Ages 6+)

This introductory acro class blends basic dance technique with beginner-level acrobatics in a fun and supportive environment. Students will learn foundational acro skills such as forward rolls, bridges, handstands, cartwheels, and balancing techniques, all while developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and body control. Safety is a top priority, with skills taught progressively to ensure proper form and confidence. Perfect for dancers and movers who love to tumble, stretch, and try new tricks!

Recital:
NO recital dance but students are highly encouraged to enroll in jazz, lyrical, and/or ballet class to complement training.

Dress Code:

  • Leotard or fitted dance top/dance shorts
  • Bare feet
  • Hair secured away from face
  • absolutely no jewelry (studs in ears are acceptable)

Intermediate Acro Ages 6 and up

This class is designed for students who have mastered beginner acro skills and are ready to take their training to the next level. Dancers will work on improving strength, flexibility, and control while learning more advanced skills such as back walkovers, front walkovers, handstand variations, chest stands, and aerial prep. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, safe progressions, and seamless transitions between acro and dance movements. Students should have a solid foundation in basic acro skills and be ready for more challenging tricks and combinations.

Recital:
Dancers will NOT perform in the annual recital but are highly encouraged to enroll in jazz, lyrical, and/or ballet class to complement training.

Dress Code:

  • Leotard or fitted dance top/dance shorts
  • Bare feet
  • Hair secured away from face
  • absolutely no jewelry (studs in ears are acceptable)


Advanced Acro

Advanced Acro is for experienced students with strong technique, flexibility, and control. This class focuses on mastering complex acro skills such as aerials, back handsprings, front handsprings, back tucks, and advanced contortion work. Dancers will also refine their transitions, combining tricks smoothly into dance choreography for performance-ready routines. A high level of discipline and body awareness is required, and students must demonstrate safe execution of intermediate skills before progressing to this level.

Recital:
Dancers will NOT perform in the annual recital but are required  to enroll in jazz, lyrical, and/or ballet class to complement training.

Dress Code:

  • Leotard or fitted dance top/dance shorts
  • Bare feet
  • Hair secured away from face
  • absolutely no jewelry (studs in ears are acceptable)

Lyrical & Jazz Combo (Ages 9+)
Expressive Movement Meets High-Energy Style

Our Lyrical & Jazz Combo class blends the emotion and fluidity of lyrical dance with the dynamic, upbeat style of jazz. This combination class is perfect for dancers who want to explore both expressive storytelling and strong technical movement.

Students will learn lyrical technique focused on emotional expression, fluid transitions, and musicality, alongside classic jazz foundations such as isolations, kicks, turns, and leaps. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and performance quality in a supportive and energetic environment.

This class is ideal for dancers who want to grow as both technical performers and expressive artists.

Recital:
Dancers will perform two routines in the annual recital and will have 2 costumes.

Dress Code:

  • Leotard or fitted dance top and leggings/dance shorts
  • Tan or pink convertible tights
  • Tan jazz shoes (no laces) and pirouettes
  • Hair secured away from face


Ballet (Ages 6 & Up)
Grace, Technique, and the Foundation of Dance

Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles and an essential part of every dancer’s training. In this class, dancers ages 6 and up will build proper ballet technique, posture, flexibility, and strength in a structured and supportive environment.

Students will learn classical ballet terminology and movement through barre work, center combinations, and across-the-floor progressions. Emphasis is placed on musicality, alignment, body awareness, and discipline. As dancers progress, they’ll develop grace, poise, and confidence that benefit all areas of dance and performance.

Recital:
MOST ballet classes will perform one routine in the annual recital. (Please see Kelley)

Dress Code:

  • Girls: Pink ballet shoes, leotard and pink or skin-toned tights (dance skirts/shorts are permitted)
  • Boys: Black ballet shoes, white or solid-color fitted t-shirt, black dance pants or shorts
  • Hair should be pulled back securely (bun preferred)


Tap Dance (Ages 6 & Up)
Rhythm, Sound, and Musical Expression

Tap dance is an exciting and energetic style that teaches dancers how to use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and sounds. In this class, students will develop coordination, timing, and musicality through a variety of tap steps, combinations, and rhythmic exercises.

Classes focus on proper tap technique, clarity of sounds, and building both speed and control. Dancers will explore different styles of tap, from Broadway to rhythm tap, all while building confidence and having fun with movement and music.

Recital:
All tap classes will perform one routine in the annual recital.

Dress Code:

  • Comfortable dancewear (leotard and shorts, or fitted t-shirt and leggings)
  • Black tap shoes (preferably with buckle for younger dancers; lace-up oxford-style for older students NO PATENT LEATHER)
  • Hair should be pulled back securely



Jazz & Hip Hop Combo (Ages 6 & Up)
Style, Energy, and Confidence on the Dance Floor!

This high-energy combo class blends the sharp technique of jazz with the upbeat, freestyle movement of hip hop! Dancers will explore classic jazz fundamentals—like kicks, turns, and leaps—while also learning the rhythm, grooves, and attitude that define hip hop.

Perfect for dancers who love to move and express themselves, this class builds strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence. With fun choreography and age-appropriate music, students will develop their own style while gaining strong dance technique.

Recital:
Dancers will perform one routine in the annual recital that showcases both jazz and hip hop elements.

Dress Code:

  • Comfortable, fitted dancewear (leotard, crop top, leggings or shorts)
  • Tan jazz shoes and Clean sneakers or hip hop shoes for class (indoor use only)
  • Hair should be pulled back and off the face



Pom (Ages 6 & Up)
Energy, Precision, and Team Spirit!

Pom dance is a high-energy style that combines elements of jazz, cheer, and hip hop with sharp, synchronized arm movements and powerful choreography—all performed with pom-poms! This class focuses on strength, sharpness, flexibility, and group formations while building strong performance skills and confidence.

Dancers will learn precise motions, jumps, turns, and choreography designed to showcase team unity and spirit. Pom is perfect for students interested in dance team-style performance or those looking to improve their energy, projection, and technique.

Recital:
Pom students will perform one upbeat, dynamic routine in the annual recital.

Dress Code:

  • Fitted dancewear (leotard or tank top with leggings or shorts)
  • Clean sneakers or jazz shoes
  • Hair pulled back in a high ponytail or bun
  • Pom-poms will be available  for purchase 



Pom & Hip Hop Combo (Ages 6 & Up)
Spirit, Style, and Nonstop Energy!

This upbeat combo class fuses the sharp, powerful movements of Pom with the dynamic grooves and freestyle attitude of Hip Hop. Dancers will build strength, coordination, and performance skills through high-energy routines that blend cheer-style precision with the expressive flair of hip hop.

Students will learn strong arm motions, jumps, and formations with pom-poms, along with hip hop isolations, footwork, and freestyle combinations—all set to fun, age-appropriate music. This class is perfect for dancers who love team spirit, bold movement, and making a big impact on stage!

Recital:
Dancers will perform two exciting routines in the annual recital and will have 2 costumes.

Dress Code:

  • Fitted dancewear (leotard or tank top with leggings or shorts)
  • Clean sneakers or hip hop shoes (indoor use only)
  • Hair pulled back securely (high ponytail preferred)
  • Pom-poms will be provided or available for purchase.



Lyrical/Contemporary Dance (Ages 9 & Up)
Emotion, Expression, and Movement with Meaning

Lyrical dance blends the grace of ballet with the fluidity of jazz, allowing dancers to tell a story through movement. Set to expressive, often emotional music, this style emphasizes musicality, control, and connection to the lyrics and mood of the song.

In this class, dancers will focus on developing strong technique, balance, flexibility, and emotional performance. Through choreography and improvisation, students learn how to interpret music and express themselves with confidence and artistry.

Recital:
Lyrical students will perform one emotionally driven routine in the annual recital.

Dress Code:

  • Leotard or fitted dance top with leggings or dance shorts
  • Convertible tights (pink, tan, or skin-tone)
  • Pirouttes 
  • Hair pulled back securely (bun or low ponytail preferred)
